Women’s Morning Out Bible Studies
Tuesdays at 9:15am, beginning September 9th
“Having a Mary Spirit” by Joanna Weaver, led by Gloria Johnson in room 300. Books will be distributed on our first morning together, and the following week will be the first discussion. Through the stories of the biblical Marys (Mary, mother of Jesus; Mary, sister of Martha; and Mary Magdalene) and others whose experience with God transformed their lives, Joanna shows how you can find what you long for: hope, healing, wholeness, and joy.
The Book of Ezra & Nehemiah, led by Wendy Mekkes in room 303. Again, books will be distributed on the first day. The books of Ezra & Nehemiah chronicle the lives and conflicts of ordinary men and women who faced overwhelming situations, charged with fear and fraught with discouragement. Yet they come out winners. This study will take you directly to the Word of God, where you will learn precepts of life that will enable you to conquer fear and overcome discouragement.
All women are invited to join us for one of these studies. For more information, call the church office.
Jesus in the Hebrew Scriptures
Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am in room 300
There is nothing more important in the world than knowing Jesus – and knowing Him well – because “he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12). We will turn to the Hebrew Scriptures and see what they teach about Jesus. Some of the topics are: •God – absolute or composite unity? •”El Shaddai” – when men saw God face to face •The Angel of the Covenant – preparations for the coming Messiah •Immanuel – the prophecy about the virgin birth of the Messiah. For more information, contact Kathy Wrobel.
